Founded in 1969, the Border Riders Motorcycle Club provides social and educational opportunities for members and other gay men interested in recreational motorcycle touring.
Our diverse membership of 65 men hail from Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. Composed of seasoned riders as well as novice, we come from all walks of life and professions. We are truly an international club. Our members ride a variety of makes and models ranging from sport to touring motorcycles.
Most rides and events are open to all legally licensed and insured motorcyclists who wish to participate. All motorcycles must be capable of freeway speeds and in good running condition. The commonality that binds us is the love of motorcycling and the enjoyment that comes from touring some of the best roads for motorcycling in Canada and the USA—all in a spirit of friendship and safety.
Our 2008 Riding Season started with our Victoria Day Weekend Run during May 16-19, 2008. This year celebrates our 39th year of the club. We host a run and campout weekend monthly from May through October. We also host day rides and socials (meet and greets) in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver BC. Whether you prefer a short day ride, 2 - 3 day ride and campout, you will find an event to fit your riding style and ability. Registration is usually required for the weekend rides and campouts. We welcome riders to join us in any of our locations. We ask you to arrive with a full tank of fuel, an empty bladder and appropriate riding gear for the day’s weather conditions. Feel welcome to contact me at brmcprez@borderriders.com to ask additional questions or to network with other bikers.
