Team Oregon Classes, July 12-14

  • Mount Hood Community College 26000 Southeast Stark Street Gresham, OR, 97030 United States (map)

The 2025 Team Oregon summer class schedule is now available. Register for the pair of weekend classes here.

Precision Maneuvering Clinic 1 “PMC-1” on Saturday July 12th, 12:45p - 5:30p at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon

Precision Maneuvering Clinic 2 “PMC-2” on Sunday July 13th 8:45a-1:30p at MHCC

These classes are being offered as a set. Registration is open and will be available only through the BRMC website. The cost for the set is $200. There are just 10 openings so they should fill up fast. Once full, I will run a small list of people who want to be notified if someone should decide to cancel their reservation. All cancellations must go through Stan.

The first class, Precision Maneuvering Clinic (PMC) is a half-day course for endorsed riders modeled on police motorcycle officer training. Participants provide their own motorcycle and protective gear.

Participants improve coordination of clutch, throttle, and steering inputs to keep the motorcycle balanced at low speed while executing tight turns and U-turns with precision and control. Students also practice group riding formation, parking and signals. Watch the video. PMC is recommended for endorsed riders ready to take their skills to the next level.

In the second class (PMC-2), participants fine-tune low-speed handling skills, making quicker, tighter turns in more confined spaces. This course also features a high-speed weave and brake-and-escape drill.

Recommendation: Before attending, change your brake fluid if it’s more than 2 seasons old.

Register separately for the Cornering Clinic on Monday July 14th, 8:45a - 11:30a at Pat’s Acres Racing Complex near Canby, Oregon.

The Cornering Clinic is taught on a kart track and focuses on the curve skills critical to safe riding. While participants ride at more real-world speeds, this is not a high speed, racing-oriented class. Participants provide their own motorcycle and protective gear. Participants learn to ride “two turns at a time,” linking multiple curves and choosing the best lines.

Here is the fine print: You will need proof of motorcycle endorsement and insurance, and your bike must be in roadworthy/safe operating condition.
